He said flatly that he did not come to abolish the law and the prophets. "Did not come to abolish" sounds pretty clear to me.

He said on the Cross "It is finished" meaning no longer are we under the Law but under Grace. We can now go straight to G-d through Yeshua:1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Yeshua was talking to the Jews when he said He didn't come to abolish the Law but to fulfill the Law which He did on the Cross. Matthew 5:17&18

Yeshua freed us from the Law.
