After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.
In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.
"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.
"I like to be good. I don't like to have to ask for forgiveness. And I am good. I don't do a lot of things that are bad. I try to do nothing that is bad."

I think the question isn’t quite as open ended as you make it, since scripture clearly says “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
We are not on the same plane.
This is an article that I found interesting. It purports to quote Trump on something he was asked and willingly answered. As I said , “for what it’s worth.”
Obama. Trump. Any real difference?
One hasnt screwed our country yet.
True. This is between Trump and his Ego.
So finding someone’s statement troubling is condemning now?
.
Those that do confess their sins are free to cast that stone.
Trump’s time for regret will not be here and now, it’ll be when it is too late to make amends. Somebody needs to have a talk with him.
“Donnie” thanks Mullah Shankbear for his concern. Mullah Shankbear is pure.
I'm not voting for someone to lead Bible study.
Let's let it drop. I'm out. But y'all feel free to carry on.
Self-righteous much?
A priest once told me a just man sins seven times a day.
This bothers me about Trump. He is prideful. Pride cometh before a fall.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
not sure at all how that pertains to my comment in the least, but cool man :) it’s all good!
Listen, that’s fine, my post is from my own perspective. I don’t consider myself a Christian, and I consider Christians to be better people than myself.
People can believe whatever they want in terms of how they relate with God in my book. We all find Him however we find Him, and we get to Him the way we get to Him. We all have different paths.
I have nothing to hide and you are blatant in your hypocrisy.
In the linked article, I see direct quotes, but not he “does not regret never asking God for forgiveness”. Unless they left that out, and why would they leave out a gem like that, someone addded that in.
At least he doesn’t abuse scripture to get votes like Cruz does.
Had he said yes, I ask for God’s forgivness, the next question would be - what have you asked forgiveness for? See how that works? Trump isn’t perfect, like St. Teddy Bear, Soccer Ball, memory lapsed Cruz, but, God can and will use him. I’ll be danged if I’d tell the whole world my private conversations with God. Can you imagine the nasty threads from the Cruzbots on here if he had been specific? Yikes, it’s almost beyond tolerable now.
1John 1:
[4] And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Cruz is just as prideful. They all are.
