Yep, and to people who might be watching to see if Christianity is something they want to know more about.
It’s something that has surprised me here.

Catherine, Christians strive to emulate Christ, and Jesus Christ never held back on declaring evil just to try to impress pagans that he was a "nice guy". Jesus told it like it is. When he found money changers using the temple for evil, he proclaimed it loudly. Another time in the synagogue of Capernaum, when the Pharisees refused to answer Jesus' questions,he got very angry and openly denigrated them.
If people honestly want to see "if Christianity is something they want to know more about", then they (and you) need to know that Christians will denounce ungodly attitudes and actions by those around them. There is a good reason for doing this. God has commanded us to spread the Gospel.... why? .... to prevent people from dying in their sins and going to hell. Using Bowie's life example to people who may be grieving over his death and point out not only the wrong in Bowie's lifestyle, but perhaps even more importantly can point out that no matter how sinful this man was, if he had confessed his sins to Christ and confessed a belief in the Savior, then he would be in heaven today. If pointing this out can save other lives, it is justified. Perhaps David Bowie did confess belief in private just before he died. We cannot know for sure. It is the sincere prayer of all true Christians that he did.
