(Num. 30) The idea that Mary was vowed perpetual celibacy is contrary to the description of marriage, and is unseen in Scripture btwn two persons of reproductive age, and is contrary to the almost consistent meaning of "till" (Mt. 1:25) and the characteristic practice of the Holy Spirit clearly mentioning exceptions to the norm among notable subjects of Scripture. But the Catholic premise is that unless forbidden then it can be used to promote Mary above that which is written of her, and which exaltation is censured. (1Co. 4:6)
