It’s their way of calling us Christians, they just don’t know that is what they are doing.

Sadly, they take pride in NOT being born again...

Yeah, I’ve been born again/born from above, which is the same thing, and anyone who has knows it.

Exactly...We've been born once so when we became born from above, we were born again...Maybe you have to be an Einstein to figure that out...

I suppose one could quibble on whether or not the different traditions, liturgy, etc., are doctrinal differences, but what is indisputable is that the churches are in communion with one another under the authority of the Pope.

And Protestant churches are for the most part in communion together under the authority of Jesus Christ thru the scriptures...

Why are there duplicate passages in the Bible?

II Kings 25:27-30
Now it came to pass in the 37th year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the 12th month, on the 27th day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison. He spoke kindly to him, and gave him a more prominent seat than those of the kings who were with him in Babylon. So Jehoiachin changed from his prison garments, and he ate bread regularly before the king all the days of his life. And as for his provisions, there was a regular ration given him by the king, a portion for each day, all the days of his life.

Jeremiah 52:31-34
Now it came to pass in the 37th year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the 12th month, on the 27th day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.

No that’s your reasoning if you start from the Protestant point of view. The Church exists since before the New testament. Beleif in it is a matter of faith. The fact is none of its doctrines are in conflict with the new Testament it authored. It’s only protestants that think the Bible proves itself.

Matthew 5:19
So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven,

No Rome is an actual city in Italy. The Church exists as an article of faith. I know the Bible is real because the Church says so.

Then I started reading Scripture for myself and saw the contradictions between it and what the church taught.

I threw my lot in with God.

I can identify with that. I did the same.

:-)

Rome as you call it put out the New Testament and set the Canon of books contained therein. So yes you are correct if “Rome” did away with the Bible but it wouldn’t do that, so try again.

Yes, and sadly X2 they go to great pains to intellectualize the phrase right out of necessary for salvation.

Sometimes it is better to relax, forget yer fancy learnin’, and just let the Spirit work in and for you.

The Church exists since before the New testament.

And AFTER the OT.

Evidently Cuban wants it from the CATHOLIC point of view. The church is true because the bible says so. The bible is true because the church says so.
