Oh, mercy. And I’d say if it’s a hymn to Mary it’s not Christianity.
No hatred intended, I just sing hymns to God.

So, you wouldn't sing any of these kind of hymns (for some quick examples)?
- Amazing Grace (directed to fellow Christians) - "When we've been there 10,000 years..."
- We Gather Together (directed to fellow Christians) - "We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing..."
- Come Ye Thankful People Come (directed to fellow Christians) - "Come ye thankful people come, raise the song of harvest home..."
- We Are Climbing Jacob's Ladder (directed to fellow Christians)
- Softly And Tenderly Jesus Is Calling (Calling For You And For Me) (directed to fellow Christians)
- Blest Be The Tie That Binds (directed to fellow Christians)
- My Mother's Prayers Have Followed Me (directed to fellow Christians)
- Onward Christian Soldiers (directed to fellow Christians)
Remember also that
Ave Maria was the way the angel addressed Mary, angelic music put to music. (Do you think it is okay to reproduce that angelic quote in printed form, but not in musical form, as a hymn?)

And who carried Jesus in her spotless womb?
Of course, Mary is connected to Christ and thus — Christianity.
