I need some Prayers for my brother who despite what meager efforts my wife and I have been able to muster for him has been unable to pick himself up and get back on his own two feet. He has been struggling with esophageal cancer and lost his position in the Navy then his apartment. We had moved his belongings into a public storage while he transitioned to another apartment that never materialized. He has not been able to make any payments and soon the contents will go up for auction and his birthday is Friday.
Great to hear that he’s getting some help from the VA and that he’s in good spirits.
But, it’s a shame that his storage locker is up for auction.
prayers up.
Prayers up
Prayers.
St. Jude, pray for us all.
Prayers for him and for your family. You might get in touch with your congressman and see if anything can be done for him as a veteran with medical problems.
Heavenly Father, please be with your son, consoling him, and helping him in a material way. Please bless his brother and sister in law, as they try to do their best for him.
For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.
Blessed be God forever!
Prayers for your brother. I will also ask the intercession of Ss. Simon and Jude today, their Feast Day.
Prayers up for Bill. God bless him, and keep him safe.
Prayers sent, God Bless.
Dear Lord my God,
Please inspire your good men and women on this earth, Your First Responders and Good Samaritans, Your ground crew, those whose names You know and whose hearts belong to You, to intervene, to manifest Your love and wisdom, to save.
Please, dear Lord.
Amen.
Lord Jesus, grant discernment to this family through St. Jude, Thy apostle.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
Seems from your wording, i, that there could also be a disability issue. redleghunter’s advice is very sound.
Prayers for your brother.
Good point. Probably millions of Vets out there who never received a proper separation physical and disability assessment.
Some Vets get several assessments at 0%. Which means they have an identified disability but no compensation. However if the assessed condition flares up or becomes more serious the veteran can resubmit the claim.
There’s also state veteran’s programs people don’t know about. The VFW and American Legion can assist with this too.
Get in touch with the DAV (Disabled American Vets).
This organization can help a lot in situations like your brother’s.
They are on the up and up...an older org. that does not fleece their donors.

Yes, it’s a long sad story and not altogether an uncommon one but we’re still in the fight and Bill is getting some help. There is so much good advice and prayers here at FR, I am very hopeful that things will be getting better for him soon.
Thanks again everyone for your prayers.
Will keep you and your brother in my daily prayers.
