BRINGING EX-CATHOLICS BACK TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH A PERSONAL STORY
CATHOLIC CLASSICS UNLIMITED BRINGING EX-CATHOLICS BACK TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ^

Posted on 10/20/2015 12:34:51 AM PDT by OrthodoxIndianCatholic

Introduction :

It is my objective and endeavour to bring Ex-Catholics back to the Catholic Church in 2015 as well as in 2016. I intend to achieve this through "Catholic Classics".

What I mean is this -- I want Catholics who have left the Catholic Church to read awesome and amazing "Catholic Books" posted on my Catholic Blog.

Many Catholics in India specially in "Metro Cities" have left the Catholic Church and have joined "Non - Denominational Churches".

Most of them are unaware of "Catholic Classics" which encompass and explain the beautiful Catholic Faith.

In Cities like Mumbai in Maharashtra, Panjim and Margao in Goa, Bangalore in Karnataka, and Chennai in Tamil Nadu Catholics have left the Church for a variety of reasons; mostly for monetary reasons but some have also left because of animosity with Priests, or Nuns, or Bishops.

Let me tell you my personal story with regard to "Catholic Classics" and how they changed my life forever.

In Mid- 2012, 3 years back, I was quite angry with Catholic Priests because of negative experiences I had with them while growing up in Mumbai.

In the latter half of 2012, while surfing the "Net" for Catholic Websites I came across a beautiful, outstanding, and extra-ordinary Catholic Website called "E-Catholic 2000"-- "Catholics for the Third Millenium".

Once, I entered this amazing website I happened to stumble across four Catholic Classics--

1) Calvary and the Mass.

2) True Devotion to Mary.

3) Secret of the Rosary.

4) Secret of Mary.

After reading these 4 Catholic Classics over a number of months - I lost all animosity I may have had against Catholic Priests in Mumbai or anywhere else.

I promise you that when you read these 4 books, you will be changed forever and will fall in love with the Catholic - Christian Faith instantly as I did.

These are 4 Books, that positively changes lives and souls.

Read them and you will never be sorry that you visited my "Catholic Blog" accidentally or purposely.

These "Catholic Classics" proudly promote Jesus Christ as the "Centre of our Faith".

The Catholic Church is more than 2000 years old. Let us never forget that.

These Catholic Classics present to us the vibrant Catholic Faith as it has been through the centuries.

Conclusion :

No one will ever regret reading "Catholic Books" @ my blog. These Catholic Books help to build one up in the faith and help to strengthen one about the truths of the Catholic Faith.

I strongly recommend 4 Catholic Classics to Catholics who have left the Church and who might visit my Catholic Blog in the future.

1) Calvary and the Mass

Your belief in OSAS relies on one word “continues” in the faith.

Someone with the life of God in them WILL continue in the faith because it's God who works in them to will and to do according to His good pleasure.

God WANTS to save people. He's not looking for an excuse to axe them the minute they slip up.

No. You are wrong.

It was the church IN Rome.

Not the church OF Rome -ie Catholicism.

Hey, e1, now that af_vet is on your case about something besides the question, I think it’s safe to conclude that you made your point.

Holy apart from God?

After all this time and effort, we’ve finally gotten to the nut of the problem!

The question relates to the Christian Faith. In Christianity, we have the Word of God stating that He, God, sees no other gods existing as I AM exists. New Age mysticism has lots of gods to worship, but not one of them is I AM.

A member of the Jewish Sanhedrin came to Jesus by night, asking about salvation and righteousness. Jesus told that man he must be born again, born from above. This being 'born from above' is directly tied to faithing in Jesus as the One I AM has sent for our salvation. Believing in some other means is magic thinking which always appeals to human pride of self, as if we can birth ourselves to the above. It is absolutely false belief, to believe that through works one might do they can birth themselves to the above. ONLY I AM can put His Holy Righteousness in you. You cannot do it no matter how well you adhere to some religious rigor.

But if we're sealed by the Spirit......how is that unsealed by an action or inaction on our part? Paul notes the sealing of the believer in three places in the NT.

If I'm reading you right, you're saying we can believe one day, then quit believing for a while, then believe again and so on.

Would one be in need of baptism every time they came back as baptism indicates we're following Christ?

When you’re opponent starts crying over documentation......game over. I notice there still is no answer to the question.

God WANTS to save people. He's not looking for an excuse to axe them the minute they slip up.

Before I swam the Tiber in reverse, I used to think God was looking down, and was ready to zot me as soon as I screwed up. I have heard it said, that the day I started toward God, was the same day I stopped being suspicious of Him. I agree with that. He isn't looking to squash me like a bug.

I wonder, sometimes, if catholics can discern the difference between loving the Lord with all their heart, and fearing the Lord will zot them for missing on a rigor of catholiciism?

being ascribed to the husband is not hagia....it is hagiazo...a verb...Strongs 37. Strongs 40, hagia, an adjective, is rI'm

As I posted, and in keeping with the original question, the children are hagia/holy when one parent is a Christian and the other is not a Christian.

The question remains....can you personally be holy without God in your life?

Yet you did not use that expression, you wrote "Wrong, as the church of Rome simply did not exist as a visible church in the NT,"

You do understand context do you not? Do you honestly really think that in responding to the assertion that "the Church that brought you the Bible and even the FIRST English translation" then i, who am well aware book of Romans, was thinking of and referring to the church at Rome? Do you???

I understand the context of bigotry, especially when Catholics try to reconcile themselves to abandoning their baptism and the faith in which they were raised. Raging continually against the church in Rome, the church at Rome, and anyone they regard as connected to the same seems to me a poor excuse for a pure and undefined religion to me.

Moreover, "church of Rome" is a common handle for the RCC, due to the historical location of its headquarters, and even its affinity with the nature of imperial Rome. And to be precise, in Scripture no church is ever named as being the church of a city, but are said to be the church of the people who dwell there (as in "church of the Thessalonians").

The church is the people, in, of, or at a real visible addressable location. It is catholic because those people are in communion with each other in faith and doctrine as passed on generation after generation by the Jewish Apostles, either verbally or by epistle. There was a church in Rome at the time of the New Testament, and it was already honorable and famous among all the catholic churches.
