The tradition to withhold baptism from children is modern.

Nonsense...Show just one verse anywhere in the scriptures where someone was baptized without first repenting...

Too easy.

Acts 16:33. Show me anywhere that the jailers family repented, but it says they were baptized.

You cannot show just one verse anywhere in the scriptures where these little ones were denied baptism until a certain age. It does not seem at all strange to me that the model is circumcision where every male child born to the holy people was circumcised on the eighth day, albeit extended now to female children as well. Modern traditions arose to forbid baptism to children.

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
