The depraved ravings of a university theology professor, who isn't even an ordained priest as far as I can tell, aren't going to just "become doctrine".
I’ve recently seen quite a few depraved ravings of a pope.
It is on the German Bishops website.
My point is that if it is communicated as doctrine, it will soon be considered doctrine by those in the areas. Going back at some later time to state “This isn’t true” will either be ignored, or cause those who believe in the teaching authority of the bishops real pain.
