If the Pope insists on meddling in the US Elections the Catholic Church, sadly, should lose it’s tax free status.

That would be dangerous to tax churches for the opinions of their shepherds. They will endorse no one anyway, but they can be heard speaking on common themes, couched in “mercy”.

Many devout, traditional Catholics continue in the works of the traditional Church, like the Little Sisters of the Poor. We see what they are being drug through under the boot of Obama. Add taxation to their threatened daily fines and they will be finished. It’s tragic and all of this persecution will have implications for all churches, not just Catholics.

We can not lose our heads, but must be gentle as a dove and wily as a serpent. Personally, the times call for a little more serpent. :)

That’s illogical and legally not workable. 1) Who has any proof the pope will interfere? 2) If he does, that is HIM, and not the Catholic Church. He is a man. The Catholic Church is incorporated in dioceses which all have tax free status independent of the pope and each other diocese.

The church would only lose its tax-exempt status if it told people to vote for a Republican.

As a Catholic, I agree.
