If the Bible is a set of instructions on how to live our lives, then maybe we should read and reread those instructions to learn how to assemble it correctly.
If we followed those instructions and we still did not get the results, then maybe we should look for errors in the instructions. The best solution is not for us to rewrite those instructions as we see fit, but to turn to the author and ask their originator directly for instruction in prayer and meditation.
If Jesus Himself told you that the entire of Old Testament scriptures pointed to Him and His advent and His work for humans and to indwell humans, would you believe it over the traditions of men who have told people that the scriptures are a blue print for living and are for mirroring and for, well, you get the gist? If Jesus told you that the scriptures all point to Him, would you change your perspective from works to faithing in Him and Him alone, never in your efforts to keep what men have told you must be kept in order to earn God’s favor?
“If the Bible is a set of instructions on how to live our lives, then maybe we should read and reread those instructions to learn how to assemble it correctly.”
First, the Scriptures are NOT primarily just a collection of instructions on how to live our lives. They are the Words of God that lead us to salvation and eternal life.
“If we followed those instructions and we still did not get the results, then maybe we should look for errors in the instructions. The best solution is not for us to rewrite those instructions as we see fit, but to turn to the author and ask their originator directly for instruction in prayer and meditation.”
I don’t know anyone who is advocating “rewriting those instructions”.
I’m not really sure what you are writing about FRiend.
