I’m not ‘pushing’ Mecca. As I posted, it is something of a different perspective to look at if you’re interested. And frankly speaking, the Vatican may not even skip a beat when the Rapture happens.

Mecca doesn't fit. Only one city fits.

Washington DC. America is doomed.

"Sheep and goats refers to those IN the Tribulation"

To us it does. However the AC will twist it to suit his own ends and those who haven't at all studied will swallow it hook line and sinker.

Are you expecting the Catholic laity to be raptured?

Washington DC. America is doomed.

Washington DC doesn't dress in red and purple, doesn't sit on many waters (peoples), doesn't speak many languages, and didn't kill the saints.

Only one city fits.

I disagree.

Nations are often referred to by the name of the capital city. We Sits on more waters than any other country with our lakes, rivers, both oceans, and the Gulf. America is a melting pot of the world--we speak every language. We've killed well over 50 million babies since 1973.

In addition to all that, we've exported our sin across the world and made the world drunk with it.

America definitely fits.

I am expecting those who are alive who are believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to be raptured, along with those who have had the same belief in Him and have died ... reaching all the way back to AD33. This tendency to identify believers by denominational handles is an error. There is only ONE way to have eternal Life. God puts it into you when you are born from above. You cannot earn that or do penance for it (another form of speciously earning it) or stick to sacraments for it (another more pride-filled specious earning it) or do enough good works to warrant it (the ultimate pride-filled specious working for eternal life).

ONLY God knows whom He will call out at the Rapture of the true Church of Jesus Christ. BUT He has made a way for any individual to know of a surety if they will be called out at the Rapture, by placing His life in them when they are born from above.

ONLY those with God's Holy Spirit in their human spirit will be Raptured out before the last seven years of Daniel's Prophecy in Daniel 9 begins.

Waters are peoples. We're not known for red and purple either. Abortions are everywhere.

God said we would be a blessing to the world and we have been.

Are you assuming they will be gone? I was thinking just the opposite, that so few will be gone. They have been taught to try and work their way to eternal life. It doesn’t come that way.

You said all who believe Jesus is Lord and Savior will be gone. I even qualify along those lines and I am not going anywhere.

So do you now change qualification for the rapture to be "those who believe Jesus is Lord and Savior and believe in grace over works"?

I still qualify if so, although works are important for one saved, our good works go with us to the Millennium age, and good works erase a multitude of sins.

Um, I'm sorry but good works do not erase sin. That is a God function, not a human function. Those who are born from above have God's Holy Spirit put into their human spirit by God, not by their acts of sacramental fealty or their 'good works' or the prayers of others or the time in purgatory or their birth family on earth. Those who believe/faithe in Jesus Christ are they who are born from above and have a Holy Spirit raising them up in the way that they should go. These are they whom God will remove from earth before He begins the final seven year countdown to the return of King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jesus.

If you want to be argumentative, (I have changed nothing, but your effort to characterize my posts that way tells me something revealing about your reason for this 'discussion') I'll pass. If you have His Life in you, you will be removed along with all others removed. Someone will explain it to you on the way up into the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. The way I use 'believe Jesus is Lord and Savior' is those who believe so they allow God to be God in them, changing them, directing their nature to reflect the character of God in them.

Though I look forward to it, I know that He will delay as long as possible because He desires that none should perish.

In 2Thessalonians 2 we read that 'the restrainer' will be taken out of the way to allow the lawlessness author to be unrestrained. I think we can agree that Restrainer is the Holy Spirit influence in the world, mostly by indwelling believers and raising them up in the way that they should go as newborns into God's family.

Something triggers God's command to the Son to go get the Bride. We can speculate endlessly about what it might be but frankly Jesus said it is in God's purview. Satan has been trying for nearly 2000 years to figure out what the trigger might be.

We know it is not severe persecution of the Church. History is full of that.

We know it is not just the Gospel shared with all nations since has been shared with the whole world. With our technologies today, that sharing has been accom0plished to a great degree.

I suspect it has something to do with an evil thing done by men, such as utilizing a mind control technology upon the whole world, such that the freedom to choose Christ is no longer open to all who would hear the Gospel. But I don't think anyone knows the trigger. That's God's business. we are instructed to watch and be ready ... the doctrine of imminence taught in scriptures.

On one of your points - I just listened to a missionary who is trying to reach some very isolated people groups in Africa and meeting with intense [demonic] resistance.

His theory is that the Gospel has NOT been preached to all “nations”, and that these remaining few are all that are holding back the Judgement.

Um, I'm sorry but good works do not erase sin.

Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

That is a God function, not a human function.

Yep, God decides which works cover what sins.

Just asking questions. Surely you have had to ask these questions to yourself. Who's worthy of being taken out of the way in your rapture? Are the Catholic laity worthy? If so, what will happen to the Vatican on the day after if a majority of their members have disappeared?

Here's my interpretation of what happens to bring on the Tribulation: We have wars and rumors of wars until the evil ones, the councils, decide they can take over the world through the UN, their global warming scams, etc. Economies crumble along with the great destruction of Mystery Babylon. The man of peace (antiChrist) arrives, resurrects Mystery Babylon with him at it's head, creates the beast political and currency system, unites the religions. Catholics love him because of the resurrection of Mystery Babylon, Muslims consider him the 12th imam or Mahdi from the well, or whatever it is they're waiting for, rapturists love him because he promises to take them away due to the coming Tribulation. Only 7000 refuse to worship him, some are jailed, some are in a place of safety to broadcast truth. Those across the world who have no regard for any religion continue as always and it is these that people think will be destroyed by the Tribulation after the rapture that some are expecting. As the 7000 broadcast and testify in the "synagogues", or religious courts, many are converted. The two witnesses do what they have to do, Armageddon and Hamongog, then the 7th Trump, all are changed at once.
