The Shroud is absolutely fascinating. I’m convinced it’s Christ’s burial cloth

I am convinced the Shroud is His burial cloth and the image was burned into it when He converted back to His true form aka rose from the dead.

We probably don’t have even an inkling of the nature of “matter” that makes up an immortal resurrected form (one which by definition is not subject to entropy), but conversion from our matter to that “matter” could very well involve a release of a LOT of energy that might just etch an image into anything in proximity (c.f. the “shadows” cast be people onto stone walls at Hiroshima).

I’ve read this guys story. Every time they try to prove the shroud a fake it strengthens the belief in it.

I’ve always believed the Shroud is real for the simple reason that the technology to create it didn’t exist until the past few decades and it is older than that.

It is not man-made. Nothing in modern science can say that.

Therefore it is something beyond man and to me that means God.

There’s a book called “How Skin Bacteria Created the Image on the Shroud of Turin,” by Stephen Mattingly. Does anyone know if Schwortz has ever addressed that theory? Should be an easy one to test.

A very cool article.

“...adding that science is unable to test for the sort of images that would be produced by a human body rising from the dead.”

How does anyone know what sort of images are produced by a human body rising from the dead? I don’t get it.

2000 years later, technology still cannot reproduce the 3D images on the shroud.

It’s real.

Ipso facto....Christ is exactly who he said he was - the Son of God.

“It can’t be projected. It’s not a photograph – photographs don’t have that kind of information, artworks don’t.”
This evidence led him to believe that the image on the shroud was produced in a way that exceeds the capacities even of modern technology.

I am of a mind that this aspect of the image on The Shroud is a sort of touchstone. Think of it as a sort of monolith buried on the lunar surface.

It awaits the day that man's technology can decipher its meaning and prove beyond any doubt Who is represented by this image. I also think that when this day comes, millions of non-believers will come to see the Light and come to seek Jesus. It will be a watershed event and will come after the Tribulation and usher in a thousand years of peace as Jesus returns to shepherd His flock.

Just one man's opinion.

I don’t *need* the Shroud to believe that Jesus was resurrected but I love the idea that it is really the cloth that touched His body and that it has survived to the present day!

Why is the head "hinged"? If he was translated and the image burned in, where's the top of his head?
