This doctrine may divide some of us for now, but with the common faith of our recent Popes I believe that this may be what will unite us once more. Many of the divisions between us and other Christians come from vehement hatred for what they perceive the teachings of the Catholic Church to be.

"However, most divisions are a result of misunderstanding and ignorance.

"The majority of other Christians do love Christ with sincerity and have great faith in Him in a manner that definitely puts many Catholics to shame. If they knew the Fullness of the Truth and not just a small portion of it, they would come home to Rome on their hands and knees with the faith that their God (OUR God) is truly physically present in our churches.

"I know this to be true for I was once one of them."

Wow! What a find! Thank you! Why is it always [or at least frequently] the convert who is so on fire?

I love communion but the Eucharist mytics make it out more than it should be as the true body and blood of Jesus.
Its mostly symbolic. Jesus said, ‘do this in memory of me’. Its through prayerful examination of our hearts, confessing, praising and thanking God during the communion where transformation occurs and not the actual bread and wine which are just edible symbols as we partake.
If someone eats and drinks by partaking in communion without the prayerful process do they receive the actual body and blood of Christ? No-—Christ enters by the way of the heart and not the belly. He said, behold I stand at the door and knock’. Communion is symbolic but one receives the body and blood of Christ through the heart. The bread and wine are not a mystical holiness in food and drink form—just symbolic when mixed with prayerful receiving of them in celebrating remembrance of what Christ the Savior gave for us all——His sacrificed life unto salvation.

You are welcome.

“Why is it always [or at least frequently] the convert who is so on fire?”

Converts see it from the outside looking in when they join. That is one reason. That is the way I see it too.

Cradle Catholics see it but they just don’t “see” it.

Even before I became Catholic I knew this was important but I did not know why. I just knew.

There are many Eucharistic events ('miracles' in the parlance) that disprove your attribution. Don't be deceived by people who want to minimize Our Lord's sacrifice. Jesus did not laugh himself to death over a cuppa coffee - he was brutally beaten, tortured and killed by all of us sinners. Yet he gave himself freely to death to purchase hope for all who believe.

Check out Lanciano among others. There are many sources for testimonials regarding the Real Presence. And also for a number of saints and mystics, the Eucharist was their only food.

Symbols?

Then you're not only denying a Dogma of the Church which makes you at best a Cafeteria Catholic, you're also insisting that Scripture in Malichi is dead wrong when it that states His Church will offer the sacrifice from morning until night every day until His second coming.

If you're comfortable with such a denial, so be it.

I think you would benefit greatly by reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church about the Holy Eucharist. The understanding that you have given in this post is far from the true teaching of the the Church regarding this Sacrament.

I can’t help but wonder how you came about this understanding regarding such an important matter.

Disregard. Pulled it from the original post.

11“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of hosts.

So the RCC is offering a grain offering now?

What chapter and verse for that idea, please? I can't seem to read it that way.

Of course, dogma does not make for Truth... it simply tells what some group believes to be true of their religion, while the actual Truth is far from what they want it to be! God is a Spirit, and does not come at the whim of come guy with fancy gowns and adorned with gold.

The Truth is too simple for some people to understand!

Romans 10 : 10 Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4 Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

5 Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Catholic christians confess this at every Sunday Mass. Nicene creed

Last Year I prayed for my Niece to have a good labor with new baby. The answer to my pray was a dream of a priest holding up the communion bread which floated on air towards me slowly it became Jesus. He then hugged me. I woke up in tears. Then got the call the baby was okay and his new name. Praise Jesus in the real presence. Amen!!!Amen!!! Amen!!!

Mal 1:11 My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to my name, because my name will be great among the nations," says the LORD Almighty.

The only pure offering in the New Covenent is Jesus Christ who unites us with His sacrifice in the Eucharist.
