No, I believe Jesus wants people to come to Him in these times. I can't see Him deliberately crashing thousands of airliners at once to do this.
Is there anywhere on Earth during any given 24 hours that there are no planes in the skies around the globe? The Harvest of the Church from the Earth will be a world-wide event occurring at the speed of lightening coming out of the East and going to the West. Not only will there be planes falling from the sky with no pilot or co-pilot, there will be trains suddenly driverless, and huge semis zipping along the interstates suddenly driverless, and cars driverless. etc. The righteous in Christ are being harvested from the Earth. Those not in Christ are not the focus of His return int he air. Later, at the end of the Tribulation, He will destroy millions with just the sword out fo His mouth, so the death you abhor is the fate of the unrighteous, their choice.
