The really perplexing thing about Laudato Si--- and, by extension, this whole papacy --- is the amount of ambiguity and contradiction.

Extend it a bit more and all of Catholicism gets included.

Depends on what aspect of Catholicism you’re talking about. Our history is a wild ride, like the history of any group of human scoundrels: like the Old Testament, for a good example.
Our doctrines -— what Christ teaches us through His Bride, His Body, His Church ——are pure, sound, and coherent. That is why Scripture calls the Church the “pillar and foundation of the Truth.” (1 Tim 3:15)
