Thanks, I think.

It sounds like some folks have 2-3 “years” fully within the 12 month liturgical calendar that ain’t got nothing to do with a “year”.

I guess they want to confuse the astrologers and other Maji, huh?

It’s more commonly said, “16th Sunday of Ordinary Time,” which avoids the confusion of the phrasing Msgr. Pope is using. It’s only the “16th Sunday of the year” because a lot of the Sundays aren’t counted.

Think of a person who was born on February 29. He’s sixteen years old on his 4th birthday.
