What’s arrogant to the max is that they presume to be the ones who define what a valid marriage is and that if it’s not a Catholic marriage, it can be considered to never have been valid in the first place.

As a non-denominational Christian, I believe in many of the same socially conservative policies as do many Roman Catholics, other Catholics, and some Protestant organizations but not all.

We differ on other points such as Who Jesus Christ really is and what He has finished in our behalf should we choose to accept Him. It's the ONLY way to avoid self-destruction in a certain amount of time.

Of course Metmom...that is how they do things. Changing vocabulary, twisting meanings,... and then always establishing long and lengthy explanations to wade through. So they can be pretty much guaranteed most catholics won’t read let alone investigate further. They simply want out of their marriage anyway that it can be acceptable to the church.

Which is not Biblical, as God never even made marriage valid exclusively to those in the faith, but counted pagan marriages as marriage, and required nothing more to validate it when they converted.

But Rome basically presumes she can make the word of God to be subject to her.
