“We need to help the homeless”
“we need to feed the hungry”

Yes, we do; VOLUNTARILY, not at gunpoint. And not in ways that enable them to remain homeless, hungry and begging for more.

Wow! IMHO, it just seems that with the number of Protestants in the US, there aren’t any in the SC. Thanks for the info!

Good spin right out of the gate, first sentence:
This whole perversion of the Word of God began when Luther said each person should interpret the Bible for themselves.
There is a quote for that?

Not a follower of Luther, but do like some of the things he did.

As Christians, we use the Holy Spirit for interpretation of the Bible.

Instead of depending on traditions of men (Catholicism Mormonism, JW's et al) we depend on God's Word

I can only tell you what the Church teaches. We acknowledge that not everyone who is divorced wants to be. A divorced person who remains celibate is in communion with the Church unless they remarry.

So am I to take this to mean that if a divorced person remarries they are unconditionally considered to be no longer in communion with the Church? Isn't that in direct conflict with what Jesus Himself said in Matthew 19:9?

The first time I ever saw a sodomite choir was at a Mass back in 1983. That priest was likely a closet follower of Luther and a sodomite in his own right. How else would he have connected with this choir of disillusioned faggots? Probably at a local gay orgy. Fortunately for me, I don’t do religion, thanks in part to that homo, wafer chompin’, sacrilegious, “enlightened” priest, desolating the service like that. I thank God my parents never signed me up for alter boy duty. My two best friends from childhood were forced into “service” and God knows what happened to them; they both turned out angry, drug addicted losers.

In considering this allegation toward Luther juxtaposed against recent statements outta Rome, do you think that jesuit liberal globalist Francis read Luther? Maybe a little?

I am not equating Judaism with homosexuality

No worries - I didn't take it that way.

Assuming your account of the events is accurate, I'm not sure that it has any bearing on this issue. The same dynamics are not in view in this situation.

Of course, opinions on what Martin Luther would do in this situation are pure speculation on our parts but I'm certain in my mind that Luther would stand on the clear Biblical teaching.

And remained Pope? Obviously you've never read him.

The Catholic Church (liberal) annulment process has made it easy for catholics to end their marriages... since Vatican II, the marriage bond once claimed does not hold water any more......people refer to the annulment process as the “Catholic divorce”.

Grounds for an annulment of the wedding vows can be:

1) Not wanting children, because the purpose of marriage is to have children.

2) Hidden drug and alcohol abuse (and probably other addictions) at time of marriage .

3) Infidelity before, during and after the marriage.

4) Immaturity to be able to make a life long commitment, like marrying at 17 and the marriage only last a very short time.

5) Forced to marry by spouse, parents or circumstances like pregnancy.

6) Physical or verbal abuse before, during and after the marriage.

Then there is also what is called the “Pauline Privilege” that deals with the conversion of an unbaptized spouse to the Catholic faith and the other unbaptized spouse does not support it.

So it is okay for protestants to vote to murder innocent children? Is that what you are saying. I don’t seen anyone getting killed over the “gay” agenda, but plenty dying over the issue of abortion.

How about what Jesus said about marriage rather than jumping thru catholic hoops. Seems to me HE was very clear about marriage....however Vatican ll gives the catholic lots of ways to annul their marriage, skirting around the obvious, which is why many call catholic annulment ..”catholic divorce”.

I've worked with many catholics who divorce and sleep around, have abortions and in fact believe it's a woman's right. And they still go to mass and proclaim their allegiance to the church.

How many times do I have to tell you that I’m not going to allow you to lure me in to your attempt to derail the thread? If you don’t have anything to say in relation to the topic of the thread or the comment I posted, you can just stop posting to me, because I’m not going to respond to your bait.

If they start replying to me with off-topic posts I’ll probably point that out to them, yes.

Remember, you started this dialogue with me, I did not seek you out.

I did but I was too chicken to click on any of the links. I wonder if any Catholics would like to comment on this?

Last I checked, there wasn’t a single Protestant on the Supreme Court that gave us this abomination.

Two thirds of the Catholic on the Supreme Court voted against it; all of the Jews on the Supreme Court voted in favor of it. The last time we had a gay rights case (with protestants on the Supreme Court), there were 4 protestants: Souter, Stevens, Rehnquist, O'Conner. 3/4 voted for the homosexual position.

I suspect that Protestantism is at the point where it can no longer capable of producing people capable of serving on the USSC.
