Therefore....Francis’ encyclical attempts to ‘realign’ both ‘ecology and economics’ which plays into the Globalist Agenda PERFECTLY..... So ‘Francis is building upon the sand’...and we know how that ends.

I agree Francis is "building on sand." And also that this "realignment" fits the Globalist Agenda perfectly. I note that pope has no "infallible" authority outside of faith and morals. So, what's he doing holding forth on what passes for "science" nowadays, and expounding on a type of "economics" that comes straight out of the mouth of Karl Marx??? Which has devastated human societies wherever it has been tried?

Dear caww, I am reminded of an observation Pope Paul VI made back in the '70s: That he could smell "sulphur" rising out of the very bowels of the Holy Church.

Thanks to this pope, it seems we are about to be asphyxiated by it. And by "we" I do not mean just Catholics....

The few that hang on will be the orthodox Catholics - with some orthodox (non nationalist) Orthodox and those Protestants who aren’t going with the flow.

It’s not going to be fun. But Christ’s church will survive and protect men and women all over the world.

Hang on, I think there will be a moment when this is necessary. It hasn’t happened yet, but it’s very close.

Thank you so much for sharing your insights, dearest sister in Christ!

He has authenticated the ones who would drag us into socialism and the progressive agenda and I'm confident they'll lean on his standing in the Church. It's a sad day for all.

Maranatha, Jesus!

My late uncle, a Jesuit Priest, had predicted that eventually there would be a mass exodus of Catholics from the Church

That's interesting; Jesus also predicted a mass apostasy just before His return.

How can they do this? They have to follow the pope in all he says.

If not, it sounds like they’re practicing their own personal interpretation of Scripture.

I've explained this to you before, and you keep repeating the same tripe over and over again.

  1. Nobody is required to "follow the Pope in all that he says," or any other human authority for that matter. That would mean obeying the Pope if he commanded a person to sin; no human authority is owed that kind of obedience.
  2. The Pope's words are not "Scripture". Even an infallible document -- which this is not -- is not "Scripture". No Scripture has been written since the death of the last Apostle, St. John around AD 92.
  3. The Pope's authority to teach extends to matters of faith and morals. When he starts, e.g., endorsing specific scientific or economic theories which are not proximate to faith, e.g., "human activity is causing the earth to warm," he's on thin ice as far as having authority to command obedience to his teaching.
As I say, I have patiently explained this to you before. At this point, you are repeating falsehoods.

Sometimes I get despondent at how bullheaded and stubborn catholics are

Get over yourself and think about saving your own soul and the souls your family and the people closest to you.

All I hear from you people is how much you hate my religion, and how completely in contempt you hold my relationship with God. Nothing -- ever -- EVER !!! -- about what Jesus is doing with you and your life. Not a word of praise, just hatred and venom directed at my way of life.

I get the feeling y'all wouldn't know Jesus if he walked up and kicked you in the shins.

....but then I remember they are willfully blind to the truth and it must be God who opens their eyes to the truth.

I know Truth. Truth is a friend of mine, in fact, He's my big brother. What relationship does he have to you?

If anyone thus speaks, that the Roman Pontiff has only the office of inspection or direction, but not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the universal Church, not only in things which pertain to faith and morals, but also in those which pertain to the discipline and government of the Church spread over the whole world; or, that he possesses only the more important parts, but not the whole plenitude of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate, or over the churches altogether and individually, and over the pastors and the faithful altogether and individually: let him be anathema.

First Vatican council of 1870 would disagree with you....or rather...you disagree with the FVC.

>>All I hear from you people is how much you hate my religion<<

False religion and paganism like the Catholic Church incorporates was hated by God long before there was ever a Protestant. Of course we hate the religion called Catholicism. It's a false religion leading people away from Christ and putting Mary and their so called saints ahead of Him.

>>Nothing -- ever -- EVER !!! -- about what Jesus is doing with you and your life. Not a word of praise, just hatred and venom directed at my way of life.<<

Who do you think you are kidding? Consistently Jesus is given praise and credit for what He did and does for us. Daily we post here telling Catholics to put their faith in Christ alone rather than the rituals of Catholicism.

>>I get the feeling y'all wouldn't know Jesus if he walked up and kicked you in the shins.<<

Jesus is with us 24/7/365. Catholics claim they have to go eat Him to have Him. Catholics claim He's stuck in some cracker.

<....”think about saving your own soul and the souls your family and the people closest to you”....>

They are secure in Jesus Christ as am I.

You stated....”I know Truth. Truth is a friend of mine, in fact, He’s my big brother.”.....

Jesus is NOT ‘my brother’ as you reference Him....,but you have asked me... <...”What relationship does he have to you?”........>

Consider the relationship he has to me as follows:.....

He is The Way The Truth and the Light for my path......My Almighty God, Savior, Deliverer and coming King...He IS my confident, teacher, healer and loyal friend. He is my all and all.

He IS the Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End, the Bright Morning Star, King of all Kings and Lord of Lords.....He is the Head over the Body of Believers of which I am one, the Prince of Peace, the Good Shepherd and the Resurrection and Life for all that I am or ever ope to be.

He is the one and only Mediator and Advocate between God and myself, the Lamb of God and My Great High Priest....He is my Bridegroom and the Bread of my Life, Deliverer, Author and Perfecter of my faith. ...He is the Rock on which I stand and the Great I AM....my Everlasting Father.

You asked...there it is.

Ans so....back at you....What relationship does he have to you?

[Pope Francis] has authenticated the ones who would drag us into socialism and the progressive agenda and I'm confident they'll lean on his standing in the Church. It's a sad day for all.

I so agree, dearest sister in Christ. Indeed, this was my point in writing.

Why do I get the distinct feeling that this pope is working for "the other side?"

When he was elected, I realized that he was the first non-European pope in the history of the Church. That wasn't particularly worrisome, until I recalled that South America has been the hotbed of "Liberation Theology" — which both John-Paul II and Benedict XVI had spent their papacies trying to stamp out. In part this entailed bringing the Jesuits — a very "progressive" order — into conformance with orthodox Church teachings, as for instance when they forced the editor of the Jesuits' flagship publication America to resign his post. Now it seems to me, with the stroke of the pen, Pope Francis has completely reversed, erased, their efforts.

To say that Liberation Theology is wholly unscriptural would be a gross understatement. It completely transforms the Christian understanding of God's relation with man. Like the socialist ideology at its root, it cannot conceive of any direct relation between Christ and an individual person (soul); it can only conceive of man as a member of one or another contesting groups. Its moral theory is group theory. Such an understanding is totally scandalous, and so I imagine completely gratifying to the Father of Lies. Who seems to have successfully recruited Francis into his cause.

It wouldn't be the first time that a Christian denomination has been co-opted into the service of the Devil's purposes and projects. See: UCC, Episcopal, Congregational, Methodist, Unitarian for examples. But I'm sure the takedown of the Roman Catholic Church must be particularly gratifying to Satan: For him, it has always been the "big kahuna."

Whatta joke! A socialist pope! An advocate of an economic ideology that has never worked, first imagined in the fevered brain of an atheist who regarded religion itself as "the opiate of the people."

With this encyclical, Francis only gives Satan and his antihuman purposes new luster and prestige....

Maranatha, Jesus!!!

As you stated Pope Paul VI said.....”the smell “sulfur” rising out of the very bowels of the Holy Church”... is what this is.

If people would see what is happening overseas regarding the Global Agenda and the Catholic church they would do more than shudder.....Pope Francis is fully in bed with it all...and he's taking his church with him....willingly or not..... But I do not see any resistance from it's membership, they are willfully powerless other than their traditional response to things they might not "like"...lots of talk.

You mentioned also...” we are about to be asphyxiated by it. And by “we” I do not mean just Catholics....”

That's exactly right....that same “sulfur’ is being emitted throughout the christian churches...via the 'Emergent Church Movement' and it's tentacles, which is loaded with all sorts of “touchy feely” props that attract the liberal educated 'fully primed' through our educational systems...... Couple these with the 60's generation generally running things in board rooms and "destruction" of biblical Christianity within the church....it's a perfect match.....

....there's another "beast" rising within the church and it isn't Biblical Christianity by any means....it's a counterfeit and an impostor and he's currently got the upper hand.

“Pick up your own cross and follow me”- Jesus..

implied; -OR- NOT...

These are days of choosing.. with dire ramifications..
Each one; can and will, make a choice...

Question; what choice do you make this day?..
Each choice is the right one.. water seeks it’s own level..

Not to inform God (I think) but to tattoo you and I..
Choose... you have no choice.. except to choose..

....”Christ’s Church is about to outta here, dude/dudette, we be leavin’ soon.”.....

Not yet but soon is right.

It’s pretty amazing we live at this time to see things lining up and happening world wide just as HE said it would be. And with the natural man even in tune that “things are not right” now all the more opportunity we have to interject the message of salvation Jesus offers them....and pray His Spirit will prepare them for that...and us to discern the right moment under His direction.

I don’t think it’s possible now to stop the trajectory the World is on now....it’s gone too far now to stop...at best might slow it down but it’s moving rapidly toward all Jesus told us it would be.

...”Why do I get the distinct feeling that this pope is working for “the other side?”....

Because he is..... And “true believers” within the catholic church are struggling with this fact currently...and that’s a good thing....they need to feel uncomfortable about this enough to recognize he’s taking them down the “wide road” and making very clear this is so.

What’s the point of preaching about Charleston? Do people not know that murder is wrong? Does this need clarification?

Now it seems to me, with the stroke of the pen, Pope Francis has completely reversed, erased, their efforts.

“Fine-tuning Socialism” Rush describes Republican feeble efforts to oppose Liberal efforts to reform America. I propose that same appellation describes equally well the efforts of Pope Francis as he effects the whole world.
