"I feel like saying something that may sound controversial or even heretical. But there is someone who knows that despite our differences we are one. It is he who is persecuting us. It is he that is persecuting Christians today; he who is anointing us with the blood of martyrdom, knows that Christians are disciples of Christ. That we are one, that we are brothers! He doesn't care if they are Evangelicals, Orthodox, Lutherans, Catholics or Apostolic. He doesn't care! They are Christians."

The devil is behind everything evil that happens in this world, but there is nothing more Satan wants to conquer than Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist, for without it [Him], the world would fall into [complete] disrepair in no time at all.

Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is one with Catholics. The full truth of the faith that can be known by man resides in the Catholic Church but anyone who believes in Christ is one with us.
38John said to Him, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us. 39But Jesus said, Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40For he who is not against us is for us. 41For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward. Those who are for us are not against us.”

It’s heretical because the Pope said that we are all Christians and that’s heresy to those Catholics who aren’t.

So you’ve backed off from your earlier suggestion that the Devil only hates Catholic Christians, not other kinds of Christians. Thank you.

Actually he is:
But there is someone who knows that despite our differences we are one
Does Francis disagree here? Or is he stating that the Devil recognizes that "we are one"? Considering Francis' comments about his so-called "ecumenism of blood" weeks ago, he is absolutely stating that we are one. And he knows it sounds heretical .... and quite frankly doesn't care.

Baptism of Blood is not the same thing as those who have already been baptized and died outside of the Catholic Faith.

Where there are sins, there are also divisions, schisms, heresies, and disputes. Where there is virtue, however, there also are harmony and unity, from which arise the one heart and one soul of all believers.

If they would, I need someone to explain to me what is wrong with that quote that you posted, onyx. Feel free to explain in freepmail since I’m not Roman Catholic and I don’t want to disrupt the thread in any way. Thanks.

This pope has personally told protestant pastors like Joel Osteen, Rick Warren and others he has no desire in them becoming Catholic. He said we are brothers in Christ and it makes not a wit what denomination they might belong to. If that is not the talk of a heretic I don’t know what is.

Satan doesn't distinguish Catholic from those professing Christianity!
THAT is his point.
So why would YOU?

No, that's not what I said; it's what you are saying I said. (So very typical on this Religion Forum.) This is what I said:
I believe it might be seen as heretical because the devil is after only one thing, and that not be a thing at all, but Christ Jesus Himself in the Blessed Sacrament ... The other Christian faiths, the devil has already conquered to a degree, because they do not feed their flock with Jesus (through the Most Holy Eucharist).
The words "to a degree" mean something.

Is it not right, it is often repeated, indeed, even consonant with duty, that all who invoke the name of Christ should abstain from mutual reproaches and at long last be united in mutual charity? Who would dare to say that he loved Christ, unless he worked with all his might to carry out the desires of Him, Who asked His Father that His disciples might be "one."[1] And did not the same Christ will that His disciples should be marked out and distinguished from others by this characteristic, namely that they loved one another: "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another"?[2] All Christians, they add, should be as "one": for then they would be much more powerful in driving out the pest of irreligion, which like a serpent daily creeps further and becomes more widely spread, and prepares to rob the Gospel of its strength. These things and others that class of men who are known as pan-Christians continually repeat and amplify; and these men, so far from being quite few and scattered, have increased to the dimensions of an entire class, and have grouped themselves into widely spread societies, most of which are directed by non-Catholics, although they are imbued with varying doctrines concerning the things of faith. This undertaking is so actively promoted as in many places to win for itself the adhesion of a number of citizens, and it even takes possession of the minds of very many Catholics and allures them with the hope of bringing about such a union as would be agreeable to the desires of Holy Mother Church, who has indeed nothing more at heart than to recall her erring sons and to lead them back to her bosom. But in reality beneath these enticing words and blandishments lies hid a most grave error, by which the foundations of the Catholic faith are completely destroyed. This "John 17 movement" is in direct contradiction to Pius XI and Mortalium Animos above.

There are many with the Evangelical label especially who make better praticing Catholics than many Catholics.
If they are willing to die for the Christian faith... I think we give them the benefit of the doubt in all things.
