That is a total misinterpretation of that scripture it that Jesus was the Christ that the church is built upon not Peter Well I called him on that as well. The Bible has it that Jesus (Him alone) is The Rock and the cornerstone that was rejected that His Church is built on. Nothing about Peter (nor him alone) being the foundation of any church. And there certainly isn't any mention of successors have any "special' distinction above any of the common folk.
