I'll not argue with your rejection of our efforts to win on the right to life in our denomination. I'm not satisfied myself. It has been such a difficult struggle against homosexuality that little time in our 10 day meeting was left to discuss anything else.
I have more than once yearned to be elsewhere. God has not yet released me from Thyatira.
4 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satans so-called deep secrets, I will not impose any other burden on you, 25 except to hold on to what you have until I come.26 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations 27 that one will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery[b]just as I have received authority from my Father. 28 I will also give that one the morning star. 29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
I do not and did not mean this as an indictment of you personally, nor of the good people who are Methodists, nor even of the good people who are still in the UMC
homosexuality, while sinful, to me on a scale of things pales before baby-killing
I feel for you -- it must be so incredibly hard and thankless at times. May God bless you and help you on this sisyphean task. This is not a Methodist, not a Catholic, not a issue -- this is about life, the most innocent life
