I'm a lifelong Catholic and certified Catholic catechist so I understand what my religious teaches about Confirmation.

I think that VERSE were mentioned.

Do you use any of them when catechizing folks?

HMMMmmm...

This is a nice store you’ve got here.

It’d be a shame if anything happened to it...

How many of us think that in 5 minutes, we could take our last breath?

Or the battery run down.

My buddy from church gets his new pacemaker on the 4th of June.

Lovers of God will always remember the risen Jesus Christ Who sent ANOTHER Comforter to those of us who believe in and refuse to turn back from following Jesus of Nazareth, for any reason, real or imagined.

Yeah; HIS mom; right?

My Prayer to Our Mother Mary

Hail and praise be unto thee, Mary, whom God Almighty has exalted above all of his other servants!!
God has entrusted us unto your care and graciously grants any request that you make of Him on our behalf, if it is in accordance with His Divine Will.
Our hearts burn with zeal as we honor you, Our Mother.
We love you as a child loves a mother and you love us as mother loves her children.
Please guide us, your little ones, to our Eternal and Almighty Father God through our prayers and through your love for us.
Many in this world may slander and degrade you while still claiming to exalt God, please forgive them and pray for them for they may dishearten your devoted children.
May we be made worthy of the promises of Christ through your prayers.
You love us so freely and we are so unworthy of it.
You love us because God and Christ loved us first.
Mary, Mother, I love you.

Amen.

There may be those who receive common grace, but not yet efficacious grace, who fall away, remaining unbelievers. They will still receive common grace until they die.

May I add and move a word or two from your saying? I think we will agree still. BTW, your post struck me and stood out.

"There may be those who (ENJOY) common grace, but not yet (FAITHFULLY ACCEPTED) efficacious grace, who fall away, remaining unbelievers. They will still (ENJOY) common grace until they die."

IOW, they turn back out of their loving this present world more than God and His promises given to Christians. Just as those "disciples" who walked after Jesus for a time but turned back when confronted with the decision-necessary tough sayings about Who the Son of Man really is and what was needed to continue with Him.

(Where else are we gonna go...?)

Acts 8:14-17 and Acts 19:1-7 clearly disagree with you. Both passages state that the followers had ALREADY been sealed to Christ by a water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus, and then they completed their initiation by a separate, SECOND sealing where they were anointed by the laying of hands and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

I will take the Bible's word over your word.

I'm glad to see a catholic appeal to the word for a change.

Now, understand the context of what is happening in these posts and you will understand what is happening here.

That's a new one on me. Would you please show the scripture that says that baptism is a seal.

Once you are saved, you can never, ever lose your salvation. Period. You can, however, willingly throw it away.

Or walk away, either way the result is he same.

How does one unseal what God has sealed with the Holy Spirit?

Yes, and how does one unregenerate what the Holy Spirit has regenerated?

Many who believe you can become lost ... after you have been saved ... really don't understand what it means to be lost.

If demonic spirits cannot be cast out ... except by His power through prayer and fasting ... how is it that the HS can be cast out of a persons life? Seems like this view demands that demons don't have to obey men ... but the HS has too?

That may be true, but waiting till the end of one's life to get saved, can be hazardous to one's spiritual health.

Yep,

Old geezer being examined by Deacon Board toward becoming a member of a local church:

Deacon 1: "We're looking here at your application, but we just need to check a couple of points on your faith. Are you saved?"

Old geezer: "Yep, I am!"

Deacon 2: "Sir, how long have you been saved?"

Old geezer:: "'Bout sixty-three years, come next month!"

Deacon 3: "Do you think you could ever have lost your salvation?"

Old geezer: "Nope! Never!"

Deacon 4: "How can you be so certain on that you still have your salvation?"

Old geezer: "'Cuz I done my part of it, and God's done His part."

Deacon 5: "What do you mean, that you've done your part?"

Old geezer: "Wal, I done all the sinnin', and God's done all the savin', that's what!"

(End of interview, unanimously recommended)

? They really don't understand their own depravity, nor what it means to be rescued from it.
