FORT WORTH(CBSDFW.COM) Doctors cant seem to explain it, but one Texas family is sure it was the hand of God that brought their son back to life.
17-year-old Zack Clements is a strong, healthy and outgoing high school athlete. He goes to school and plays football at Victory Life Academy in Brownwood, Texas.
It was there last week the teen suddenly collapsed while running in P.E. class.
He was rushed to the hospital where doctors worked to revive him.
According to Clements, they said I was without a heart beat for 20 minutes.
When doctors finally got a pulse, Clements was airlifted to Cook Childrens Hospital in Fort Worth. He would wake up there in the intensive care unit days later.
His recovery has been hard to believe, but even more amazing is the story he tells of what he saw when his heart stopped beating.
When I was out those 20 minutes, I saw a man who had long ruffled hair and kind of a thick beard, and it didnt take me long to realize that that was Jesus, he said.
I went up to him and he put his hand on my shoulder and he told me everything would be alright and not to worry.
His father Billy Clements says he know its a difficult story for many people to accept, however for him and his family, its the only thing that makes sense.
For him to wake up and tell us something he experienced like that. Its just you cant explain it.
The teens mother, Teresa Clements says although it may be a medical mystery to doctors, she has accepted that her son coming back to life was a result of divine intervention.

Glad he made it. Whoever it was, he saw someone and he did come back okay.

Could be Willie Nelson.
Didn’t the last kid that made these claims eventually admit he was making the whole thing up.
He and his parents were all over the news programs and I believe there was even a book in the mix.
20 minutes? Small kids can survive that long without a heart beat or oxygen if they’re submerged in an icy river or pond, or some such. Older people: I think there’s very little chance of surviving that long even in ice water and, oh, btw, there aren’t a lot of icy rivers and ponds in Texas during May, besides which, he was jogging on a track. So... if the facts are as stated, I’d go with divine intervention.
(Don’t read the comments at the source link. They’re horrible. Satan is indeed among us, folks.)
Bearing False Witness. One of the major sins
“I believe in the resurrection of the body.” How many times do how many people say it on any given Sunday? Do you believe or not? It is the essence of Christianity.
He could have actually seen Jesus.
Probably he was either hallucinating or dreaming. Whatever he did come out of it with good feelings which is important.
My Maternal Grand Parents lost their first baby but raised their next 12 to adulthood. My Mother said they mourned that baby the rest of their life.
When Grandmother died with her family around her, she told them she could she Jesus and he had that baby waiting for her.
Did she actually see Jesus? She could have but it might have been her wanting to see him so badly.
That is a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing.
That’s right. The “Boy Who Came Back From Heaven” was a hoax. The authors’ surname should have given it away: Alex and Kevin Malarkey. lol
or ZZ top.
You are correct, and ironically that kid's last name was "Malarky" (I kid you not)!
When my dad was in hospice, the chaplain....( who had my utmost respect) told me believers do see & sense their families who have gone before them.....
Often they will reach out to them.
May be if one wants to see someone bad enough.
I know I would be looking.
I would hope just the opposite. It would be real.
The mystery man of the near death experiences never identifies himself. Many experiencers assume it is He who they meet.
I said often......perhaps sometimes would be better....but he affirmed this idea, and my dad seemed to bear this out.
I think it entirely possible.
I would not be surprised if it happens too.
Let’s not try to explain away a brief meeting with Christ when someone has actually died. Isn’t that when we’re supposed to meet Him? Jesus told the boy not to worry, that all would be fine, and the boy came back to life. It’s as simple as that. Not to mention exciting!
I know someone well who had a mini NDE when he was 14. It changed his perspective on life and death. He describes the experience of a tunnel vortex, bright light, events of life flashing chronologically like a filmstrip. There was a bliss, he says, that he has never experienced before or since. His story gives me to know there is nothing to fear in death. When he came to, he asked the lifeguard if she were an angel!

Our resurrection will be on the last day.
