In the early centuries after Jesus, for instance, the very questions What does it mean to be a follower of Christ, and what is such a person supposed to believe? were completely unsettled.
Not for the followers of Lord Jesus Christ alone.

Not for the followers of Lord Jesus Christ alone. Not really, you had Marcionites who considered the OT god as a demiurge

The Sabellianists taught that Jesus Christ and God the Father were not distinct persons, but two.aspects or offices of one person. According to them, the three persons of the Trinity exist only in Gods relation to man, not in objective reality.

Now, the theology of the Sabellians IS a powerful heresy -- The Sabellianists taught that Jesus Christ and God the Father were not distinct persons, but two.aspects or offices of one person. According to them, the three persons of the Trinity exist only in Gods relation to man, not in objective reality.
You can see the linkage through Marcionism, Sabellianism, Arianism etc
