When the priest, bishops, etc give them communion and treat them as members in life and death, they are yours. You have no choice but to own them as the Catholic chooses to own them. Indeed. Some even tell us that we are Catholic. But "protect the church at all costs to credulity" is what is evidenced by some.

Ok, it's not the greatest contrast available, or that I have seen on these pages (coming from FRomans) but it sort-a kind-of reminds me of http://www.romancatholicism.org/feeney-condemnations.html#a2 wherein Cardinal Marchetti-Selvaggiani and A. Ottaviani, Assessor, had to tie themselves in virtual pretzel knots when condemning Feeney (even as they were affirming Feeney's positions although they tried to say they were not by including little qualifiers here and there which betray how the Church of Rome seeks to have certain things two ways at once -- as long as they da' boss.)
