Here's the thing: it's the Messiah Who crushes the Serpent. Right or wrong? And Mary is the mother of the Messiah. Right or wrong? Therefore the daughter of Israel, therefore the daughter of Eve, bingo: there's the lo-o-o-ng chain from Eve (and the seed of the Woman), through Israel (begat, begat, begat) to Mary (the true Daughter of Israel), whose Seed is Jesus, He who crushes the Serpent.
This is Christ-centered, not Israel-centered: although of course, Israel is a major, meaningful part of that chain. "Salvation is from the Jews," as Jesus said.
You do see that Mary is the Mother of the Messiah, right?
"Christians don't have a spiritual mother...There's not an ounce of information in the scriptures about a 'spiritual mother'"
Here's a couple of ounces :o)---
"Jesus said to the beloved disciple, 'Behold, thy mother.'" Aren't you a beloved disciple? Do you not see that not only was he to care for her, but she was to care for them?
> And how can I justify extending this to you and to me as beloved disciples? Because that's what it says in Revelation 12:17 ----
"Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep Gods commandments and bear witness to Jesus."
You wouldn't want to say you're NOT one of her offspring, would you?
"The big picture is in Rev. 17..."
Oh yes! That is big! And it gets even bigger in Rev. 21:
The Blessed VIRGIN?
You wouldn't want to say you're NOT one of her offspring, would you?
Mary is not my mother nor any Christian's mother; spiritual or otherwise...When that war takes place Christians will be in heaven attending the Wedding...
Christians don't worry about keeping God's commandments...They have been fulfilled in Jesus...
The Woman is NOT Mary and the offspring are not the church...
There's more than one verse in that chapter you have to contend with...
