Because all true prophets testify of Jesus Christ.

Yes, that's so. But many prophets claim to testify of Jesus Christ but are liars. They speak of another Jesus than the One of the Bible.

So, how do YOU tell the difference?

Well, first thing I asked myself is, where am I getting my own interpretation of scripture from? Is my own interpretation of scripture correct?

From there I went to James 1:5.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

I decided to go to the source. I went to God in prayer sincerely looking for truth. And I got my answer.

The thing is I was raised a Southern Baptist. And very much an anti-Mormon. I was raised to hate Mormons and I was actually on my way to stop a friend of mine from joining the LDS Church when I got my answer.

The Lord gave me my answer. I can't and won't deny it.

A true prophet has at times direct communication with God. Therefore, they won't rehash the same things any local preacher would say. They will correct doctrine as well.

Plus, a true prophet will write down their communications with God and those writings will be considered scripture.

Therefore, if a church won't except new scripture, they won't be accepting the words of true prophets and in fact rejecting the words of God. Therefore, that can't be the true Church of God.

IMO, Rev 11 is like a ticking bomb for all the churches of Christianity.

Nope.

True ones speak of what will happen.

If it don't; then he is a FALSE prophet.

It's right there in the book...

Deuteronomy 18:21-22
"You may say in your heart, 'How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?'
"When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
