I am late to this game: Mary did not bear Jesus?
I cannot get an RC to give me a clear-cut understandable answer to my question...
Why is the phrase "Mother of God" of such urgent importance to FRoman Catholics.

Why is the phrase "Mother of God" of such urgent importance to FRoman Catholics. Say it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again; and it; too; will become pounded VERY deeply into YOUR mushy skull; too!

Why is the phrase "Mother of God" of such urgent importance to FRoman Catholics. Because of who HE is, not who SHE is.

I think it’s a logic thing.
Jesus is God, incarnate.
Mary is Jesus mother.
Ergo, Mary is the Mother of God.
I don’t know how one can be the creator of the creator.
I thought you were being literal (as if Mary did not bear and raise Jesus.)
