Yes.. she is the Theotokos. There were big fights about this between the Greeks and Latins long ago, but it was resolved long before the Protestant churches came about.
If Jesus is God, then Mary is the Mother of God. It is not rocket science.

Yes He is. No she isn't. It isn't a question of science, rocket or otherwise, but of your faith you place in Mary that your post is true.

Honoring the Virgin Mary, conceived without sin as the holy vessel who would give birth to Jesus our Savior, with the title of Mother of God, does not mean that she is thought a goddess. It’s an honorific.
As a Catholic who gets berated in the workplace by Calvinist hardliners, I find threads pitting “Papists” versus “Bible Thumpers” to be always a fun read.

The Holy Spirit called her “mother of Jesus”. Catholics call her “mother of God”. I for don’t have to wonder who is more accurate.

Mary gave birth to Jesus' earthly body.
She holds no other standing than that of any other righteous woman. And will be judged just like everyone else. God is no respecter of persons.
The laws of God are not arbitrary. Prayers are to God the Father in the name of Jesus only. So says Jesus Christ, whom will condemn you and cast you out at the last day for praying to anyone but His and our Father in Heaven.
