I’m SO glad my wife talked me into finally getting one last year!
(It does NOT like my 300’ gravel drive though!)
Had one up north with a gravel drive. Do not ask me how the basement window got broke the second time I used it.
Looking for one down here. I can handle our drive no problem. But the woman next door is around 80 and there is no way I am letting her do her drive way. The woman across the street is 60+ her drive is literally 70 yards long, is steep and has a curve. No way I am letting her do that either.
Elsie,
My godly and thoughtful wife encouraged me to get one rather than die a while back. I am so grateful every time we get a large snow. I’ve been able to help neighbors and a couple neighbors have borrowed it.

At the ranch we have about 2.5 miles of “semi-gravel, semi dirt” so we never even try to remove any snow, we just chain-up and drive over it.
But for the last two years there hasn’t been enough snow to last more than a day or two anyway. Central California is often a dry place.
