Bi-location fascinates me. It's hard to understand philosophically, but "there are more things in heaven and earth..."
St. Thomas Aquinas often levitated while experiencing ecstatic visions. After one such vision of heaven, Thomas declared "The end of my labors has come. All that I have written appears to be as much as straw after the things that have been revealed to me."
St. Catherine of Avila also levitated.
Thanks for posting.
The ‘first’ thing Francis before making his appearance for his instillation was go down to what they claim as Peters corpse kneel and pray to him....clearly asking for Peters blessing from a corpse.
Additionally throughout this instillation, time and time again dead saints were called on and named one after the other....it was exceedingly disturbing that Jesus’s name was not mentioned once as he implored the various saints to accompany his ministry.... and I did not here Francis pray ‘in His name’ even once. In His Homily he said The Bishop of Romes role is "To protect Jesus with Mary"....
Astounding since Jesus needs no protection at all...
Interesting night of study about Francis...
PS. I couldn't get over the oath the conclave participants took...and they do swear oaths to the conclave itself...nor how advanced in years most of them are.
Can you explain the following miraculous phenomena? Many atheistic scientists have tried, and eventually converted to the Catholic faith.
Shroud of Turin.
Tilma of Juan Diego
Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano
Miraculous Cures in Lourdes
What makes these miraculous phenomena so important is that they are public miracles that can be subjected to scientific investigation. This is of great evangelical importance in our skeptical, scientistic age.
The saints referred to here are "canonized saints," meaning that the Church formally and infallibly recognizes their sainthood.
It doesn't take much work to research these claims, does it? But if people want to remain ignorant, they will remain ignorant.
The odd thing is that people ignorant of the subject matter believe that they can persuade informed people of the truth of their arguments.
It's a strange phenomenon.
It’s all ritualistic paganism under the cloak of Christianity. I’ve watched some of those same ceremonies. I’m always struck by the pagan symbols and architecture. A pagan from Babylon would not feel that out of place.
For most Christians the true miracles of the life, death, burial and resurrection, of Jesus Christ is complete and more than sufficient to build a lifetime...many lifetimes over generations of faith.
What He did and continues to be and do, and all he will do in the future precedes and supersedes the counterfeit miracles so often presented, and which give false hope to so many innocent people.
Our faith rests in Jesus Christ. He is the Alpha and the Omega....the King of all Kings....He IS God and very present and active in our life everyday.....the fact any of us are even here is a miracle for none of us is worthy of the life we have.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
You can research all you want and find that "yep, they happened". We were told they would happen.
That’s exactly right....chocked full of symbolism’s even most catholics have no clue what they represent. All these rituals play hand in glove with many “tribes” and various pagans still around today....as with those in Haiti who practice Voodoo with catholicism...in fact to become a Voo doo Priest one has to become catholic first! Go figure that! LOL
Yeah, yeah. That class system the Jesus and the apostles talked about right? Wait......what?
But miracles such as the Shroud of Turin have led atheistic scientists to faith in Christ.
Is Satan's kingdom divided against itself?
And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons. So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. In fact, no one can enter a strong mans house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong mans house. Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.
Is it possible that people who reflexively reject great public miracles associated with the Catholic Church, without investigating the scientific analysis of these phenomena, have a bias against the Catholic Church, knowing that there are no similar great public miracles associated with Lutheranism?
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
We were told they would happen Arthur. That they are real shouldn't surprise anyone who knows what scripture says. It's those who don't understand scripture that will fall for them.
Matthew 24:24 once again.
Yes...while I was watching these...I also noted the commentators, obviously catholic. They all waited with baited breath over the Pope...as do those who line the streets when he visits another country....so many deluded and believe without question that the Pope is the full embodiment of Jesus Christ. I don't think Francis is going to last very long......I do believe he has a heart for the poor and if he could would sell all the stockrooms full of gold and other accumulations to feed them.....unfortunately he doesn't hold the purse strings.
Cults are the result of men trying to reach out to God. No matter what name they give themselves, they all are deceived into believing there is some way to reach out to God. As opposed to Christianity. That is, that God reached out to man. There is simply no other way to be reconciled to Him. Unless He reaches out to us. Any religion that teaches that they can obtain God’s favor by reaching out to Him, or that depends on a “leader” to guide them with “truth” is deceived beyond help in most cases. Simply because it FEELS great to think you are impressing Him with ANYTHING. His Son impresses Him. That’s ALL.
Frances may not last very long but the Catholic Church combining with other religions didn’t start with him and won’t end with him. In fact he could well be the last pope they have.
Look who’s back!!!!
Yeah.
You are right, there are many who have that "feel good" works based false hope.
