Have you compared what they say against the Scriptures?

When Paul preached to the people in Berea, they "searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." (Acts 17:11)

I've heard some preachers preach about tribulation and rapture from Matthew 24, and completely ignore the time element of that prophecy too. We've got to check out everything preached, or we'll fall prey to their false doctrine.
