MADRID (Reuters) - Ten Spanish priests were charged with child sexual abuse on Tuesday, in a case brought after Pope Francis telephoned the victim to offer the Church's apology, court documents showed.
The victim, now 24, wrote to the pope to say he had been molested when he was an altar boy. The pope called the man in August to apologize, Spanish news site Religion Digital reported in November, a report later confirmed by the pope himself.

Yeah. Right.
It definitely sounds more like an organized pedophile ring than the “typical” case of the priest groping the altar boy in the back hallway. There have to be more victims, IMHO.
Does the apology constitute a guilty plea?
Quite selective outrage.
Sick bastards in non-Catholic churches must be so common they're not even newsworthy to the people who put together the national news and news wire content. Apparently they're also not unusual enough to attract the attention of the "concerned" and "outraged" crowd who post a constant stream of anti-Catholic garbage on FR.
If I didn't know better I'd think that the "concerned" folks on FR don't give a hoot about children being molested, they only give a hoot about having mud to sling at the very small number of sick bastards that manage to make it into the Catholic clergy.
This case sounds pretty unique, why try to dismiss it as routine for all denominations, and their Priests/Ministers.
It also fits the unique pattern of homosexual rape and the Catholic denomination’s church leadership, in this case, a large organized group of Priests that maintained a building for the homosexual child assaults.
Figures. I guess "unique" is in the eyes of the beholder.
The fact of the matter is that this is all commonplace because people who see their Self as the highest authority in all things see no reason not to do whatever sort of perverse thing that comes into their mind.
Any Catholic who does these things is just as much guilty of worshiping Self and Self Alone as anyone else. Whether Catholic, non-Catholic, teacher, social worker, or whatever, 99% of such perverts are where they are because they see it as a way to have a ready source of prey.
Singling out Catholic clergy is just a dodge to avoid the real magnitude of the problem and helps no one, especially the thousands of victims who are annually abused in government schools (they're not "public" schools anymore) and in various social programs.
Hiding how widespread the problem is and at the same time spewing anti-Catholic trash is the perfect solution as far as the queer agenda and media machine are concerned so anyone who wants to help those groups, just keep on keepin' on with the pretense that it's a "unique" problem.
This isn’t commonplace at all, I can’t believe anyone would want us to think so.
This sounds like quite an operation, involving 10 separate Priests, and the ongoing connection of their denomination’s church leaders to homosexual perversions.
Groups are adopting and even breeding herds of victims to swap among themselves and you "can't believe anyone would want us to think so" ? Don't want to believe water is wet either, right?
Groups like that weren't exactly rare when I worked as parole officer back in the eighties and it's firmly entrenched and widespread now.
I suppose you figure people like Epstein entertaining Bill Clinton and others is just some sort of a fluke with nothing but "big girls" of thirteen and fourteen as victims, right?
Every little den of political scum and wealthy folks have a go to guy for their favorite perversions and molesting very young children is far more common than people with their heads in the sand want to deal with. What's the matter, people who aren't wealthy and don't have political pull doing the same thing just a bit too democratic ?
If you live another ten years or so you can be shocked when such groups start demanding the right to do their thing legally. In the mean time, you keep on keepin' on. The media and organized perverts appreciate the help.
have a nice day now, ya' hear?
What in the world does that have to do with the subject of my posts and this thread?
This isnt commonplace at all among church leaders, I cant believe anyone would want us to think so.
This sounds like quite an operation, involving 10 separate Priests, and the ongoing connection of their denominations church leaders to homosexual perversions.
Interesting perspective you have there.
No, it is a matter of what is the subject on this thread, and it isn’t politicians or rich perverts.
>>The Vatican said last year it had defrocked about 850 priests between 2004 and 2013 who had been accused of sexually abusing minors.<<
850? That really makes my heart ache.
