I’d suspect that this may have emotional ramifications...sociologically but isn’t likely to affect the SCOTUS decision..

If Francis had never uttered the words “Who am I to judge”, the liberal love affair with the Pope would not exist. He’s the one that stepped right into it, knowing full well he will uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church. Either that or become an apostate.

Francis the hypocrite. One minuet he wants to compromise on
gay marriage and gay priests in the church and now when his feet
are to the fire we get this.
Francis = Obama = communism.

I don't know why anyone would be shocked if you actually took *everything* he's been saying in context instead of pulling random quotes and translating on the fly and putting whatever double meaning on the
English words . . .
He has been clear all along on the subject of marriage. And I agree with his opinion on gays insofar as we shouldn't be stoning them. And, literally, we are not stoning them. The opposite of stoning them, is "not stoning them". The opposite of stoning them is NOT "legalize same-sex marriage".

In his trip to the Philippines, Pope Francis once again defended marriage, and he again edged closer to a firm, unequivocal papal statement against same-sex marriage. How do we know he's not being mistranslated?

Liberals discover that Pope Francis really wasn’t talking about anything more general than his work relationship with the curia when he said that. Hilarity ensues. Well, for us, anyway. For the liberals, not so much.

*8Reporter Ben Smith at The Daily Signal wrote that the pope reaffirmed his commitment to traditional marriage, speaking to the crowd about his concern for the ideological colonization of the family, which many took as a swipe at gay marriage. The Vatican later confirmed that marriage was on the popes mind. **

“Edged closer” why can’t he just say it and be done with it?
