German Pegida Priest Banned From Representing Church 21 January 2015
A Catholic priest in Germany has been banned from giving sermons or representing the church after speaking at a Pegida rally.
Father Paul Spaetling, from the Diocese of Munster, told the rally that Europe had spent over a thousand years fighting against Islam.
He said that he did not agree that Islam had a place in the country, which the German chancellor had said.

A priest worth listening to.
So when do they cut his head off.
The spokesman for the diocese, Stephan Kronenburg, said Father Paul’s simplistic view of history was “not compatible
with the Christian message of love, kindness and inclusion”.
If this current view of the Church in regards to Islam was held one thousand years ago, the Church would not exist in Europe today. It’s that simple.
Point well made.
Just wait
Freepers as if on cue from Morris Dees and Mark Potok
Will insist all right wing nationalist European parties are fascist and racist Jew haters
Do not doubt me......yes.....i lifted that line
The German Catholic Church is state funded and owns the largest porn publisher in the country.

Exactly. With modern communication capabilities, literacy at historic levels, and documented history available at our fingertips on demand, there is absolutely no excuse for repeating the mistakes of Byzantium turning the other cheek for centuries against Islamic oppression before finally recognizing and addressing the threat of Islamic hegemony with the first of the crusades.
"Turning the other cheek" shall hold no legitimacy in context of this established history.
Where do you pick up that piece of crap from?
WWMLD?
Well, the elitists have decided that Pegida is a threat and it must go. And they’re going all out. People are going to start losing their jobs, etc.
I think that this guy should start his own church.
I doubt that he would have much trouble.
The church is hastening its own demise. The church had danm well better wake up and realize that the ROP wants the church eliminated and replaced with savagery.
BTTT
Inclusion? Where did he get the idea that Christianity was "inclusive"? Jesus said Christianity would be completely divisive. That son would turn against father, daughter from mother, sister from sister. "I come not to bring peace but the sword". What about "be not unequally yoked with unbelievers" or "what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness"
These things are not hard to find. Daily Mail yesterday.
Some of them are. And believe me, I wouldn't say that if it weren't so.
I don't know about this "Pegida,", but the Hungarian Jobbik party is a pan-Turanian (Altaic/Turkic) party that is pro-islam and subsidized by Iran. The French National Front has also been very pro-islam in the past.
Whether or not you recognize it, how groups feel about the Jews is every bit as important as how they feel about abortion and homosexuality. It determines whether their "moral stances" are based on acknowledgement of the One True G-d or on identitarian loyalty to local/racial/tribal/national/civilizational "gxds." And those "gxds"--every flipping one of them--are false.
Do not be fooled by the Pretty Blonde spouting Faux Nationalism. With the Le Pen's, scratch them and under neither you will find a raving Anti-Semite.
You preach this same thing over and over
Pity few Jews themselves play along
Pegida doesn't say much about Jews one way or the other, nor does Marine LePen. None of these groups are particularly pro-Jewish or pro-Israel, but their primary focus is on restricting immigration from Africa and the Arab world (which, ironically, would benefit European Jews).
I guess for the Abe Foxmans of the world, "If you don't love me enough, you hate me" is the rule.
