Spencer and his brother were adopted from Russia when they were 3. His brother was dropped during birth by the attending doctor, who didn’t know there was a second baby and has a brain injury as well as autism. He is in a respite care home and will be coming home next week as soon as they can get his medications right.
Spencer has had headaches for a month and was attributed to a sinus infection. Last night, an MRI showed a very large tumor. He is heading to surgery now and it is not known how he will be when he wakes up. It is in the part of the brain that controls language and understanding, which the doctors have prepared her for. He may lose his ability to talk.
The father has been paying child support but not any court ordered medical bills - it is my understanding that he is required to pay for all extra medical bills. My friend is working 2 jobs to pay for all of these expenses. The amount accrued over the past 10 years is staggering. The father gives the court old addresses so it is hard to get him served. They are dealing with three to five different states and she has moved to Georgia so different laws apply. She can’t afford an attorney to find him and fight this.
Please pray for both of these 17 year olds and my friend, who has raised two fine young men.

The gospels are filled with accounts of your love an compassion for the sick and the suffering. Please Divine Physician have mercy on this family and guide the efforts of Spencer’s surgical team that he may be healed and restored to health, should it be your will and give his family and loved ones comfort in their anguish and distress.
May we all be brought closer together as brothers and sisters in our Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we pray for Spencer.
