The human need for earthly leadership is strong isn't it. The "follow the pack" mentality causes group think. I'm sure psychologists have an explanation but it seems to me it has it's base in the tendency for humans to not take responsibility for themselves but rather "blame the leadership" should something go wrong.

For most it's a scary thing to stand alone in front of almighty God. Little do they seem to realize that we don't stand alone but Christ stands with us.
