I remember seeing that claim. I couldn't believe what I was reading. It always starts with a small error, and then snowballs out of control. Through the reasoning of men, the handmaid of the Lord was transformed into the immaculately conceived, perpetual virgin flying into Heaven on Pegasus, ready to appear to superstitious children (and even on toast), and provide divine customer service 24/7/365 for the masses. So let it be imagined, so let it be true.
