The more I read about this guy, the more I like him. He also just told Muslim religious scholars to rethink Islam to create an Islamic Enlightenment to get it out of a Dark Age mentality. I hope he stays in power a long time (despite Obama’s efforts to undermine him).
He’s making all the right moves. We like him.
Therefore, Obama hates his guts.
I had my doubts about the guy but he’s showing some real steel.
Yes, Obama has had it in for Sisi since the beginning. But Sisi must represent what a lot of other people in Egypt are thinking as well. I think their experiment with Islamic fundamentalism was a learning experience for them...
When Pope Benedict spoke at Regensburg, (his famous address in which he invited Muslims into dialogue), he got lambasted for it.
Here is a little history behind the problem of the Muslims and their unwillingness to dialogue:
About the time the West discovered Aristotle's Ethics and Politics in the twelfth century, Islam had reached it's peak. The top imams at the time decided that Islam would no longer use the elements of philosophy which had been their strong suit for 500 years. They issued fatwas for anyone caught reading philosophy or teaching it. So in began their decline when they rejected all that they had been able to glean from the Greek philosophers. While the West soared in knowledge.
People are always better off when they talk to each other. The Muslims are not in discussion with the West.
They appear to be stuck in the dark past, because they are.
