I’ve been watching a program by David souochet (Poirot) called “In the footsepts of St. Peter”. Souchet takes us through all of those sites and discussed the lives of the people who lived there at the time of St. Peter and Jesus.
The question arises — is the Sea of Gallilee salt water, or fresh water?

That is seriously exciting!

Sacred Journeys playing on PBS has a stirring episode on Lourdes and one on Jerusalem that has a life of Jesus trek.

According to wiki the Sea of Galilee is the largest freshwater lake in Israel.

I’ve been to that excavation site twice in the past two years. Pretty cool.

Fresh water. The lake is the source of the Jordan river and drains into the dead Sea at a much reduced elevation
