I think if her religion had a more specific name than "Christian" -- like a well-known name that was clearly identified in the public mind with the pro-life cause -- the author would have given it to you, because it would have strengthened her point.
But of course, I think this woman was basically invented for propaganda purposes, so I wouldn't trust the details anyway.
As an aside, I have never in my life heard a Catholic describe him or herself as "in church six days a week". You're either a daily communicant or you aren't. If you're a daily communicant, you're in church seven days a week, not six.
