We are a branch of the vine that Jesus said was Himself (throughout human history). I'm not sure we've ever formally been given the name of Jesus' Church. We have many nicknames.

We started with the revelation that Jesus of Nazareth is Lord of all creation and is Son of the Living God.

We received news of this wonderful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and all that He had done for us by dying on the Cross for ALL my (our) sins, being resurrected on the third day, and then Ascending to the Father...we received all this Good News from loud-talking guys on podiums and they learned it from others before them and from reading the Holy Bible.
