So, you do think that believing is an important doctrinal point?

Good.

You have just affirmed ‘sola fide’.

And ‘methodists’ didn’t even exist during the protest and the reformation. They actually didn’t truly exist until America and the revolution. They weren’t born of any protest against Catholicism; they were born of protest against King George. LOL.

“So, you do think that believing is an important doctrinal point? Good. You have just affirmed ‘sola fide’.”

Nope. Affirming the importance of faith does not in any way affirm the doctrine of faith ALONE anymore than affirming the importance of scripture affirms the doctrine of scripture ALONE.

“And ‘methodists’ didn’t even exist during the protest and the reformation.”

Ever meet a 500 year old Lutheran? No, none? Me neither. By your logic, no Lutheran today is a Protestant. By your logic, no Lutheran from anything less than 400 years ago was not a Protestant. That’s not how reality works. So what? None of the Protestants today existed 115 years ago. None of them. That doesn’t mean they are not Protestants.

“They actually didn’t truly exist until America and the revolution.”

They’re still Protestants nonetheless.

“They weren’t born of any protest against Catholicism; they were born of protest against King George.”

And they’re still Protestants - just like George III.
