We used it on our show goats so the swelling would not be apparent when showing them.
And also of course as a general rule when they needed it.
I used a rag and did not protect my hands but I don’t think it effected me adversely.

DMSO is basically just a carrier although it alone will cause the “garlic taste”. It carries whatever is being used to treat into the tissue in that it’s basically a solvent. Because of that it’s important that the service it’s being applied to is sterile.

I used a rag and did not protect my hands but I dont think it effected me adversely. While learning to give my goats a shot; I managed to stick myself with the CDT needle.
It didn't hurt too baaaaaadly.
