A lovely scene is before us: the last being first, the humble one being exalted by her Savior, her Son. Well, THIS sure has to be tradition, because the bible records no such EXALTATION.
This is something that Rome has created.

He exalted her by making her His mother!!
A higher honor could not be imagined. "He who is mighty has done great things for me!"
"Great things" is not a synonym for "No big deal."
