If the church declared, as a matter of church dogma that Mary was assumed into Heaven, she was protected from error in so doing...Christ would not have let her err in that matter.....God did not allow the scriptures to be in error either....He can do that!

That's a corruption of the Greek the Catholic Church has perpetuated to the gullible. The phrase is "shall have been bound in heaven". The apostles could only declare what had been already been bound in heaven. Heaven never was and never will be bound to the dictates of man.

Not if they teach a different gospel than the apostles taught.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Please show where the apostles taught the assumption of Mary.
