It seems the idea of faith and morals, which the Popes cannot be in error on, they determined killing children in the most cruel of ways was the moral thing to do. There seems to be an inconsistency with the teachings of Jesus.

Where does Jesus teach what you mentioned?

Do you propose that Jesus taught or believed children should be killed in the most cruel way?

Exactly my point. I have read
"But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Nowhere have I read "burn the little children unto me."
